The wheel of life

My friend, Giorgio is from Europe originally and shares fascinating stories with me. He presented a report on theology in his college years that he said he'll never forget. He likened his view on religion to an old wagon wheel. There are many spokes that signify strength and completeness in the greater unity of the whole. Each spoke represents the vast landscape of spiritual beliefs and practices. Even if one spoke was to fall away, the wagon wheel would not turn as easily and function with difficulty. There would be a noticeable void, a missing piece that supported complete revolution. All of our unique beliefs and traditions are coexisting together in unison to support completeness; a workable whole. Indeed, we are all one.
