Stay the course
When you follow your soul purpose in life
and apply all your energies and sweat -
The fruits of accomplishment are sweeter than
the illusion of rest (giving up).
You can just ‘feel’ the righteousness
in the depths of your gut.
Even though others tell you that you’re wrong or crazy.
By staying focused on your vision,
you will side step those distractions and bumps in the road.
Remember your mission
by creating a vision.
It helps you to stay the course. ❤

The thick of thin things...
photo:abc.net.au
Are you caught in the thick of thin things?
There's a concept Stephen Covey calls “the thick of thin things.”
Are you so busy DOING that you’re forgetting where you’re GOING?
Are you trapped putting out daily fires
that you don’t take time to see the bigger picture?
By the way, how clear is your big picture?
Does your horizon extend beyond today, next week, next month?
Covey uses the example of forest workers.
Hundreds of workers in the forest are busy chopping down trees.
Their manager is happy because they’re producing tons of wood (trees).
On the surface, everything seems to be running smoothly, however,
a great leader won’t be bogged down by the day to day occurrences.
He’ll make time to climb the ladder and look over those thick trees to see the bigger picture, where they’re headed - their vision!
From this lofty perspective, the leader yells out, ‘wrong forest!’
True vision and leadership assures
that their team is headed in the right direction.
On a personal scale, is your vision clear?
Or are you barking up the wrong tree? ❀

Spirit soar!
userwww.sfsu.edu.jpg
The confinement of our outer shell
has little to do with the splendor of our spirit
Next time you see an old, tired or broken shell
Look past it with your vision!

People create distinctions out of their own minds
photo:freedom.graphics.womensfreedom
In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west.
People create distinctions out of their own minds
and then believe them to be true. Buddha
People can create lots of boundaries, many shades of separation and distinction. Many people create these little boxes of'perfection' in their lives, of right and wrong, good and bad, their way or the highway.
We all like to think that we are right, that we've realized the true path, the correct way to live and think. The proper way to handle situations and treat other people.
The criminal justice system is a perfect example of an entity doling out decisions based on a pre set value system of right/wrong, good/bad, breaking mandated laws (those laws which are deemed to be fair and just according to a group of individuals).
Airplanes would have difficulty safely navigating the open skies without compass direction, and the streets wouldn't be as safe without legal authority enforcing (deemed) wrong behavior.
Yet, an artist or composer wouldn't be able to create an outstanding masterpiece if his or her mind was caught up in the 'separation' existence of reality.
A Mother can offer her child the hope of a boundless future with limitless vision.

Your outlook, your inner reality, is your choice - your belief, your creation!
